Eligibility

  • For Indian Participants - Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only 10+2+3) from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline with a minimum of 3 years of work experience.
  • For International Participants - Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institution in their respective country with a minimum of 3 years of work experience.

Campus Capstone

This module is designed as a capstone experience, where participants apply what they’ve learned in their own work, working as a group. The module will also have some sessions to help in closing discussions and help in taking the learning forward. This part is delivered as a 3-day program on XLRI Campus, Jamshedpur along with the Valediction ceremony.

XLRI

    Fr. Enright, the Founding Father of XLRI visualized the institution as a valuable partner in the nation’s journey of liberation and development with a vision of “Renewing the face of the Earth.” Fr. Bill Tome joined hands with him to bring that vision to fruition. With their unwavering dedication, both together with other Jesuit companions, worked towards transforming the vision into action.

    Ever since its inception, XLRI has developed its distinct identity. The hallmark of this identity is, not to walk on the beaten path, but to strike new routes; not to benchmark, but to be benchmarked; to be second to none, but to be the first to respond to the needs of the people and the nation; taking up tasks that are bold, but necessary, that which nobody has hitherto taken up. This enterprising and pioneering spirit can be witnessed throughout the history of XLRI.

    Established in 1949, XLRI - the oldest management school in India, introduced a range of management-focused courses for trade unions. In 1953, a two-year, day programme in Industrial Relations and Welfare was started, which was later re-christened as Human Resource Management. In 1965, a three-year, evening program in Business Management was introduced, followed by the launch of a two-year full-time program in Business Management in 1968.

XLRI has the unique distinction of being modern India’s oldest business school; it was founded in 1949 by Jesuit Fr Quinn Enright, SJ, much before IIMs. He together with other Jesuit companions, worked diligently to build it. I would like to mention four important hallmarks of Jesuit education which have guided XLRI in its successful journey and we will continue to place a strong emphasis on them.

The third aspect relates to ‘Whole-person growth in all quotients’ - growth of an individual across intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual levels; and the fourth hallmark being ‘social consciousness - to be sensitive to the needs of the less privileged around us. Our curriculum includes a compulsory course in Business Ethics and activities such as rural visits to help inculcate a sense of social responsibility, marked with compassion for the downtrodden and the needy.
